"I opened my eyes and looked down at my shoes. They were not touching the ground. I pushed my feet against the cool morning air and lifted up into the sky. The trees below me grew smaller and smaller. The wind was warm and gentle against my face. I stretched my arms out wide like a bird. I could go anywhere I wanted. I swooped over bright blue lakes and tall green hills. Children on a playground pointed up at me and waved. I laughed out loud and did a big loop in the air. Flying felt so easy and natural.
