"Last night, I had a dream about losing my wallet. In my dream, I stood at a checkout in a supermarket. The cashier smiled. "That will be twenty dollars, please." I reached into my back pocket. Empty. I checked my other pocket. Empty. My jacket? Nothing. My wallet was gone. "Let me check my bag," I said. I opened it. No wallet. Just old papers and a broken pen. The line behind me grew longer. People sighed and tapped their feet. "I'm sorry," I said. "My wallet... it's gone." The cashier's smile disappeared. "No wallet, no food. Step aside, please." I walked out of the store with empty hands. My heart beat fast. I searched everywhere. Under my car seats. In my backpack. On the floor of my house. Nothing. Then the real panic started. My ID card was in that wallet. My bank cards. My driver's license. Everything that proved who I was. Without it, I was nobody. I went to the police station. "I lost my wallet," I said. The officer looked at me. "Name?" I opened my mouth. But no name came out. I could not remember it. "Address?" Nothing. My mind was blank. "Date of birth?" I did not know. The officer frowned. "If you can't prove who you are, we can't help you." I walked out into the street. The city looked normal, but I did not belong anymore. I tried to enter my apartment building. The guard stopped me. "Do you live here? Prove it." I had no keys. No cards. No proof. I sat on the sidewalk. People walked past me like I was invisible. Like I did not exist. Then I looked at my hands. They were becoming transparent. Fading. Like smoke. "No!" I shouted. "I am real! I exist!" But my voice was getting quieter. My body was disappearing. Then I woke up. I grabbed my wallet from the nightstand. Real. Heavy. Full. I checked my ID card three times. My name was still there. I am real. I exist. But for a few minutes in that dream, I lost everything. Even myself."
