The dryer Full of hundred-Dollar bills

"i was sitting inside this empty laundromat at midnight trying to find a missing shoe coupon, but all the washing machines were filled with dry leaves instead of clothes. i shoved my arm into one of the giant double-load dryers in the back, and my hand hit this thick plastic envelope tucked behind the drum. when i pulled it out, it was completely bursting with crisp, uncirculated hundred-dollar bills, so fresh they smelled like fresh ink and paper. i started counting them right there on the dirty folding table, but every time i stacked ten bills together, five more would just slide out from underneath like a fountain. my chest went totally warm and light. i kept thinking about how i could pay off my phone bill, buy a new couch, and never have to worry about checking my bank account before buying coffee again. then all of a sudden i was standing in my old middle school hallway trying to stuff all these loose wads of cash into a locker that wouldn't latch, but i didn't even care that people were walking by--i was just grinning so wide my cheeks hurt, holding onto all that money like it was a dream i'd never have to wake up from."
