Clumsy flight Over middle School and grocery Store

"I was standing on the asphalt in front of my middle school trying to see if I had enough money in my jacket pocket for a bottle of iced tea, but I only had a handful of rusty washers. I took two quick running steps toward the curb and just pushed off with my left foot, and suddenly I was gliding horizontally about eight feet off the ground like I was doing a breaststroke through thick air. It wasn't like super-hero flying where you zoom through the clouds, it was this really awkward, clumsy effort where I had to keep swimming with my arms to stay up. If I stopped kicking my legs, I'd start drifting back down toward the pavement, so I kept frantically sweeping my hands through the cold air, rising just high enough to clear the hood of a parked mail truck. I felt this huge, buzzing rush of pure adrenaline because I'd finally figured out the trick to it--you just had to hold your breath and tilt your head back slightly--and I was dying to show someone. Then I was suddenly floating inside the main aisle of a grocery store near the ceiling, right above the cereal boxes. I was trying to steer myself toward the front exit, but my sleeve got snagged on a metal price tag hanging from a sign, and I just hung there upside down in the air for a minute, kicking my feet and laughing while an employee down on the floor wiped the linoleum with a mop without ever looking up at me. Woke up with my heart pounding, my feet still twitching under the blanket."
