"So I'm digging through my coat pockets looking for my keys and instead I pull out this fat roll of bills. Like, thick. Rubber band around it. I don't even own a rubber band, that's how I knew something was off, but in the dream I didn't question it. I just started counting. Hundreds. All hundreds. And I'm doing the thing where you lick your thumb and flip through them fast like a movie character. I'm in my apartment but the apartment keeps changing. First it's mine, then it's my college dorm, then it's a hotel room I've never been in with those little shampoos on the counter. Doesn't matter. I'm counting. I get to like four thousand and then I lose count and have to start over. Same thing happens again. I'm laughing though. Just sitting there giggling to myself like a maniac. My friend called, the one who's always broke, and I was like "dude you're not gonna believe this" and I'm shoving bills into my pockets, into my socks, into my shoes, and I've got so much now that it doesn't fit and I'm stuffing it in the freezer next to the ice cream. Then I look again and the freezer is full of money. Just money. No ice cream. And I'm like "wait, when did that happen." Then I'm at a car dealership? Buying something. The salesman is my old landlord and he's being really nice to me which was unsettling because he was never nice. I'm pointing at cars and saying "that one, no that one, actually both" and he's writing something down and I realize I never asked the price and I don't actually care about the price, which felt amazing. Woke up genuinely happy for about four seconds. Then I checked my actual bank account on my phone. Yeah. Back to reality. I looked for that jacket all morning even though I know I don't have a jacket like that. Brains are cruel."

Insight

Notice where you equate money with safety, love, or approval, and practice separating your inherent worth from external abundance. The dream's manic laughter and hoarding suggest you may use fantasy to avoid financial fears; journaling and realistic budgeting can ground that energy. Reconnect with simple comforts and ask for help instead of stuffing feelings into hidden pockets.
