"Last night, I had a dream about bees. In my dream, I walked in a sunny garden. Flowers bloomed everywhere. The air smelled sweet. Then I heard it. A low buzz. It grew louder and louder. I looked up. A dark cloud moved across the sky. But it was not a cloud. It was thousands of bees. They flew together like one big animal. The swarm came down. Straight toward me. I ran. The buzzing filled my ears. Louder than a siren. Bees landed on my arms. On my neck. In my hair. I slapped them away, but more came. They were everywhere. One stung my hand. Sharp pain, like fire. Then another sting on my ear. Then my leg. "Help!" I screamed. I jumped into a lake. Water closed over my head. The bees waited above the surface, circling like tiny helicopters. When I came up for air, they attacked again. Stings on my face. My eyes swelled shut. I swam to the shore and ran into a small house. I slammed the door. Bees hit the windows. Hundreds of them. The glass turned dark with their bodies. I looked in the mirror. My face was red and swollen. I could barely see. The buzzing grew louder. The bees were getting inside. Through the cracks. Through the keyhole. They covered the walls. The ceiling. The floor. The whole room turned into a moving, buzzing nightmare. I fell to the ground and covered my head with my arms. "Stop," I cried. "Please stop." But the buzzing grew louder and louder until it was the only sound in the world. Then I woke up. I sat up in bed, slapping at my arms. Nothing there. Just my dark, quiet room. But my skin still tingled. I checked every corner for bees. I didn't sleep again that night."
