"Last night, I dreamed I was in jail. I did not know why. Nobody told me my crime. They just locked the door and walked away. The cell was cold and small. The bed was hard as stone. A tiny window near the ceiling let in a thin line of moonlight. I shouted, "Let me out! I did nothing wrong!" But my voice only bounced off the walls. Day after day passed in my dream. I counted them by drawing lines on the wall. Ten lines. Twenty lines. Fifty lines. Nobody came to visit me. Nobody answered my questions. Then one morning, a guard came. He slid a piece of paper under my door. It was my release order. My case was a mistake. I was free. But when I read the date, I saw the truth. Ten years had passed. Ten years of my life, gone. I started hitting the door with my fists. "Why?!" I screamed. "Who did this to me?!" The guard just shrugged. "Mistakes happen," he said coldly. "Go home now." When I walked out of the jail, the world had changed. My street looked different. My house was gone. My parents were old, with white hair. My friends had new lives. Nobody needed me anymore. I tried to tell everyone I was innocent. But no one cared. "It's over now," they said. "Just move on." I woke up with my fists clenched and tears of anger in my eyes. It was just a dream, but my heart was still burning. I thought about people in real life who lose years because of mistakes. It is not fair. It should never happen."
