"so in this dream i had a baby, like she was mine, i didn't question it at all in the moment. i don't even know if it was a girl but i keep saying "her" when i think back on it. i remember carrying her around this house that had way too many rooms, more than any house should have, and i kept setting her down somewhere and then walking off to do something else, some errand that felt urgent at the time but i can't remember what at one point i was in a kitchen and i suddenly panicked because i realized i hadn't fed her in what felt like hours, except no time had actually passed, the dream just told me that and i believed it. i went looking for her and she wasn't where i left her, she was in a laundry basket instead, just sitting there totally calm, not even crying, just staring up at the ceiling there's this part i can't explain, i picked her up and she felt heavier than she should've, like the weight kept changing depending on how worried i was. someone else was in the house too, i think, moving around in another room, but i never saw who then it jumps and i'm outside on a porch and she's asleep against my chest and for a second everything is fine, actually really peaceful, like nothing bad had been happening at all. and then i woke up and for like ten real seconds i felt this weird sense of loss, like i'd misplaced something, before i remembered i don't have a baby"

Core Theme

"This dream suggests you are carrying a vulnerable new part of yourself, perhaps a repressed desire, creative project, or childhood need, but you keep setting it down to handle urgent distractions. The endless house reflects a psyche full of unexplored rooms and old memories, while the calm, uncomplaining baby points to a defense mechanism that hides neglect behind numbness. The peace on the porch and the waking sense of loss reveal a deep longing to nurture rather than abandon this inner child."
