The cat with My name

"I was walking through my neighborhood when a small orange cat started following me. I tried ignoring it, but it kept appearing a few steps ahead, sitting in the middle of the sidewalk like it knew where I was going. I asked someone nearby if it belonged to them, but the person said it was my cat. I told her I'd never seen it before, and she just shrugged. The cat followed me into a grocery store. It jumped into a shopping cart and curled up beside a carton of eggs. I kept trying to lift it out, but every time I touched it, the cart was suddenly empty. Then I was back at home. The cat was sitting on my bed, staring at the closet. I opened the door because I thought maybe it was afraid of something, but there was only a second bedroom inside. The cat walked in and disappeared under a pile of blankets. I pulled them back and found a little wooden box. Inside was a collar with my name written on it. I wanted to put the collar on the cat, but it had already vanished. I woke up wondering if I had actually heard it scratching at my door."
