The horse That knew the way

"I dreamed I was riding a dark brown horse through a field, though I don't remember getting on it. I wasn't holding the reins right, but the horse didn't seem to care. It just kept walking like it knew exactly where we were going. At some point we were on a road near my grandmother's old house, except the road was covered in tall grass. I tried to steer toward the house, but the horse turned the other way, toward the woods. I wasn't scared, just curious. We ended up by a creek, and the horse stopped to drink. I slid off its back and sat in the grass. The sun was low, and everything was quiet except the water. When I looked up, the horse was gone, but I could still hear its hooves somewhere behind the trees. I woke up feeling calm, like I'd been somewhere I was supposed to be"
