Diamond in the dirt: A treasure Dream

"I was pulling weeds at my mom's house and my hand closed around something hard. I figured it was a rock. It wasn't. It was a diamond. Just sitting there in the dirt like a potato. I dug more. There were more. Not buried treasure, just scattered, like somebody dropped a bag of them. I filled my pockets. I filled my shoes. I kept laughing and looking around like someone was gonna catch me. My mom came out and I showed her and she said "that's nice, wash up for dinner." Just like that. Not impressed at all. I tried to give her one and she said "put it with the others." Then I was in the kitchen and there was a bowl of them on the counter, overflowing, like fruit. I couldn't remember where I'd put mine. I checked my pockets. Kleenex. A receipt. No diamonds. I woke up and checked under my pillow like an idiot. Nothing. But I was grinning anyway. Rode that one all morning."
