The car That knew My name

"I was standing in a parking lot, not sure why, and there was this car, shiny, some color I can't pin down now, and I knew it was mine the way you just know in dreams. Keys were already in my hand like I'd been holding them the whole time. I didn't remember buying it, didn't care. I got in and the seats were so soft, and it smelled like nothing and everything at once. pushed a button on the dash and the whole thing hummed awake, lights I didn't understand flickering on. I couldn't stop grinning, kept running my hands along the wheel. It pulled out and the road was empty and wide, way too smooth, and I just kept accelerating for the thrill of it. I thought about showing my friends, kept reaching for a phone that wasn't in my pocket. Then I was parked outside my childhood house and the car looked slightly different, longer maybe. Woke up still buzzing, wanting to go back and keep driving."
