The giant Check and the spilling Millions

"I was standing in line at this random gas station near a beach I've never visited, holding a crumpled ticket. Someone in a bright blue suit handed me a giant plastic check with glowing numbers on it, and suddenly everyone was cheering. I didn't even remember buying a ticket, but I just knew I had won fifty million dollars. Next thing I remember, I was sitting on the floor of my old high school cafeteria trying to stack stack after stack of crisp hundred-dollar bills into my backpack, but the bag kept turning into a canvas grocery sack that was way too small. My hands were shaking so fast I kept dropping the cash. I needed to call my mom right away to tell her we were moving to Italy, but my phone screen was completely smeared and wouldn't register my thumbs. Even though I couldn't make the call and money was spilling all over the linoleum, this overwhelming rush of pure thrill kept buzzing through my entire chest, like I was finally completely free."
