Lost room Key and the beach Card

"I was staying in a hotel and went downstairs for ice, even though I didn't have a bucket. When I tried to go back, I couldn't remember my room number. I thought it had a seven in it, but the key card just had a picture of a beach. The elevator opened into a breakfast room where everyone was wearing coats. My suitcase was under someone's table, and I felt awkward asking for it, so I pretended to look for a spoon. Then I was upstairs again. I could hear my family talking behind one of the doors, but they kept going quiet when I knocked. I wasn't scared exactly, just upset that nobody realized I was stuck outside. I finally found a door with my shoes beside it. Before I could try the key, someone inside called down to reception and asked for another night. Somehow I knew I was the one who'd have to pay."
