Chased Through the Night: Escape to a Hidden Meaning & Interpretation

"I was walking home alone in the evening when I suddenly heard footsteps behind me. At first, I tried to ignore them, thinking that someone else was simply walking in the same direction. But when I looked back, I saw a dark figure several steps behind me. I could not see the person's face, but I immediately felt afraid. I started walking faster, and the footsteps became faster too. Soon, I was running. I turned onto a narrow street that I had never seen before, hoping that I could lose the person chasing me. The street seemed strangely quiet, with no cars or other people around. I looked behind me and saw the figure getting closer. I tried to shout for help, but no sound came out. My legs felt heavy, as if I were running through deep water. I reached a large gate and tried to open it, but it was locked. I could hear the footsteps coming closer and closer. Just when I thought the person was about to catch me, I noticed a small opening in the wall. I squeezed through it and found myself in a bright garden. The footsteps suddenly stopped. I looked around, but the person was gone. I woke up with my heart beating quickly and a strong feeling of relief."
