The Mirror That Refused to Reflect the Self Meaning & Interpretation

"I was standing in front of a large mirror in my bedroom. I looked at myself, but something seemed strange. At first, my reflection looked normal. Then I moved my hand, but the person in the mirror did not move. I became confused and looked at the mirror more closely. The person in the mirror was still standing there, looking at me. I stepped back, but my reflection stayed in the same place. Then the reflection smiled, even though I was not smiling. I wanted to leave the room, but I could not stop looking at the mirror. Suddenly, the reflection turned around and walked away. I looked behind me, but there was nobody in the room. When I looked at the mirror again, my reflection was gone. The mirror was completely empty. I stood there trying to understand what had happened. Then I woke up."
