Frozen Lake Cracking at Midnight Meaning & Interpretation

"I found myself standing alone in the middle of a massive, frozen lake at midnight. The ice beneath my shoes was dark and transparent, so clear that I could look down into the pitch-black water stretching infinitely beneath me. There were no trees, buildings, or hills anywhere in sight—just a flat, white wasteland under a pale moon. Suddenly, a loud crack echoed across the ice. Long, white fractures spread out like spiderwebs right between my feet. My heart began to race as the ice groaned softly under my weight.
