Neon yellow Snake in the park

"I was walking through a park behind my high school trying to return a borrowed sweater, but the grass was way too tall and kept wrapping around my ankles. then I stepped right next to this thick, neon-yellow snake coiled around the base of a park bench. it was so bright it almost looked like a plastic toy or a glowing extension cord, but then its skin twitched and it slowly uncoiled, lifting its head up toward my knee. I froze completely, my heart slamming in my chest because I couldn't tell if it was venomous or just watching me. It had these pale, glassy eyes that didn't blink at all. I tried to back away really slowly, but my shoes felt stuck to the mud like suction cups. then all of a sudden I was standing inside a dimly lit convenience store holding a box of cereal, but I could still feel that sharp, electric fear in my gut and kept staring at the yellow lines painted on the floor, terrified it was going to slide out from under the aisles."
