Overwhelmed by Rising Waters & Seeking Safety Meaning & Interpretation

"I was at home when heavy rain started to fall. Soon, water began to enter the house. The water rose quickly around my feet. I tried to move my things to a higher place, but the water kept rising. I climbed onto a table and looked outside. The streets were covered with muddy water. Cars floated past the windows. I felt scared and did not know what to do. Suddenly, the water reached the table. I climbed onto the roof and saw the whole neighborhood under water. I waited there, hoping someone would come to help. I then woke up."
