"So I'm on the bus. Sitting there. And I look down and I'm naked. Full naked. Just me and the vinyl seat. And here's the thing, I wasn't even that bothered at first. I was more worried about my stop. Like "okay I'm naked but I still need to get off at Elm Street, so." The bus was packed too. Standing room only. And nobody was looking at me. Nobody. They were all on their phones or staring out the window and I'm sitting there completely bare trying to figure out if I should cover up or just act normal. I went with act normal. Crossed my legs. Put my hands in my lap like I was holding something. I wasn't holding anything. I asked the guy next to me what stop we were at and he answered me. Just answered me. Like I wasn't naked. He said "two more" and went back to his phone. And I thought "okay so this is fine, this is just how it is now." I started planning my walk home from the stop. Which route had the least people. Whether I could cut through the park. Then the bus turned into my old elementary school. Same bus, same seats, but now it's a hallway and I'm walking down it and I'm still naked and the lockers are on both sides and there's this announcement over the intercom about a fire drill and I'm looking for the exit but every door just leads to another hallway. Same hallway. Same lockers. I ran into my third-grade teacher. She handed me a towel. Just a towel, small one, like a hand towel, and I wrapped it around myself and it covered nothing. She said "that's better" and walked off. And I stood there in this tiny towel going "this is not better, this is worse actually." Woke up right as the fire alarm was going off, or maybe that was my actual alarm clock, who knows. Took me a second to realize I was in bed and not on a bus. I stayed under the covers for a while. Just to be safe. Checked my phone. No missed calls from the school. Obviously. But I still felt like I owed somebody an explanation."

Freudian Analysis
Core Theme

"The dream reflects a conflict between repressed vulnerability and a powerful defense mechanism that insists everything is normal. Childhood school settings and a dismissive teacher suggest early experiences where emotional exposure was minimized or inadequately comforted. The dreamer's calm reaction points to dissociation, intellectualization, and avoidance as ways of managing shame and fear of judgment."

Insight

Your mind is testing whether you can be seen without being harmed, and whether you can trust yourself to handle exposure. Notice where you minimize discomfort, act normal, or overplan to avoid judgment instead of naming what you need. The dream suggests your inner child may still be waiting for more than a tiny towel, so practice seeking genuinely supportive people and reassuring yourself that you are safe now.
