Reviving the Ancient Couple Lonely Marsh Meaning & Interpretation

"I dreamed that I was standing in a dark, empty marsh surrounded by grey skies and thick mist. There were no trees, birds, or other people anywhere around me. The whole place felt abandoned and lifeless. In the middle of the marsh stood an enormous wooden chest, half-covered by mud and water. Sitting on top of the chest were two elderly strangers, an old man and an old woman. They were completely still, and I somehow knew that they were no longer alive. I felt frightened, but I also believed that I had to bring them back to life. I found a dark blue coloring pencil lying beside the chest. I began coloring the old couple carefully, believing that the blue color would somehow save them. I continued until the pencil became so short that I could no longer hold it. I threw the tiny piece into the muddy water. Then I noticed a blue ink pen floating nearby. I picked it up and tried to continue the strange task. However, the pen was too sharp, and instead of gently coloring their clothes and skin, it began scratching and tearing their old skin. I became terrified and stopped immediately. The two figures remained motionless while the grey sky seemed to become darker. I woke up suddenly with a strong feeling of fear and confusion. For several moments, I could still picture the dark marsh, the strange blue color, and the two silent figures sitting on the wooden chest."
