"I had a dream about cockroaches last night. I was in a dark kitchen. The lights were off. I could hear small feet running. Then I saw them. Cockroaches were everywhere. They crawled on the floor. They crawled on the walls. They crawled on the table. One ran across my hand. I wanted to scream. My mouth would not open. My body felt frozen. More and more came. They came out of the sink. They came out of the fridge. They came out of the cracks. A big one stood on the stove. It looked at me. Its feelers moved slowly. It seemed to know I was scared. I tried to run to the door. But my legs would not move. I stood there shaking. Then I woke up and turned on all the lights."
