"I was inside a quiet dream. I stood in front of my old childhood home. The paint on the wooden walls was peeling off, and the garden was filled with tall weeds. The front yard looked much smaller than I remembered from my youth. I slowly walked up the creaky wooden steps to the front porch. I reached out to touch the old brown door, but I could not bring myself to open it. I remembered playing in the yard with my old friends on warm summer days.
