Bloodstained sweater in aunt's kitchen: Inherited burdens

"i was in my aunt's old kitchen trying to bake something for a birthday party, but I couldn't find any bowls, so I kept opening random drawers filled with old keys and receipts instead. then i looked down and noticed i was wearing this heavy, knitted white sweater that isn't even mine. right across the chest and down the right sleeve, there were these huge, dark red bloodstains soaking through the fabric. i wasn't in any pain at all, and there wasn't a mark on my body, which made it so bizarre. i just stood there touching the wool--it felt damp and cold--trying to figure out whose blood it was or how it even got there. then suddenly i was standing in a bright, crowded elevator with three people in suits, and no one was looking at me or saying anything, like they couldn't even see the giant red spots covering my sweater. i kept trying to pull the sleeves down to hide it, but the stains just kept spreading every time i tugged at the hem. i just felt this complete, disorienting fog in my head, totally clueless about what i was supposed to do next."
