The clock with No hands

"I was late for something, but I couldn't figure out what. My phone kept buzzing with messages, the sink was overflowing, and someone was knocking at the front door. I tried dealing with one thing at a time, but each problem seemed to multiply when I looked away. There were papers all over the floor, most of them with my name on them. I picked one up, but the words were moving. Then I remembered I had left something cooking, so I ran to the kitchen and found a birthday cake burning in the oven. My sister called from upstairs, asking where her keys were. I shouted back that I didn't know, even though I was holding them. The lights started flickering, and my phone changed into a clock with no hands. Suddenly I was in a crowded classroom. Everyone was waiting for me to speak. I had notes, but they were blank. I woke up before I could answer, already tense and trying to remember what I had forgotten."
