"I dreamed I was in a hospital room, but it looked more like someone's living room, and I was suddenly in labor even though I hadn't known I was pregnant. I remember being more confused than scared at first, like I'd missed some huge part of the story. People kept telling me to breathe, but I couldn't focus on anything except the clock on the wall, which was ticking backward. My mom was there, though she looked younger than she does now, and she kept saying everything was fine even though nobody seemed to know what was happening. Then the baby was there, but tiny—smaller than a newborn should be—and I was scared to hold it. I picked it up anyway and it grabbed my finger. Right after that I was in a car driving home with the baby in the back seat, but I couldn't remember leaving the hospital. I woke up before we got home, still worried I'd forgotten something important."

Core Theme

"This dream reflects a sudden, disorienting arrival of new responsibility that you did not consciously prepare for. The backward clock and the missing memory of leaving the hospital suggest a fear of having skipped essential steps, yet the baby's grip on your finger indicates that connection and instinct can anchor you even when the story feels incomplete."
