Alligator ambush on the foggy Dock

"I was walking down a slippery wooden dock in the middle of a foggy lake, carrying a heavy box of old VHS tapes I needed to drop off somewhere. The water below was completely black, and as I leaned over to tie my shoelace, a huge, dark alligator erupted out from under the wooden planks with a deafening splash. Its massive jaws snapped shut right next to my leg, missing my knee by an inch, and I fell backward into the shallow mud, my lungs seizing up in total panic. I tried to scramble away, but my limbs felt completely heavy and unresponsive, like I was trying to move through thick syrup while the monster lunged forward again, yellow eyes fixed right on me. Suddenly, the lake vanished and I was lying flat on my back in the middle of a brightly lit library aisle, clutching my blanket to my chest while the fluorescent lights above me hummed loudly, my heart hammering against my ribs so hard I couldn't breathe."
