"I have dreams like this at least a couple of times a month. They feel like very long dreams. I am in my grandparents' old house, in their wide, sunny orchard. I notice lots of birds are visiting the orchard. There are ordinary, familiar birds. Hopping along the fence, pecking at the grass, perched in the branches. I don't feel threatened at all. Suddenly a rare bird, sometimes a real one, sometimes not, will swoop in. I try to sketch it, but it darts away. The other birds seem to react to it. If it's a bird of prey, the other birds will try to drive it off. I start to wonder if I should step in. Are the smaller birds going to get hurt by the hawk? I wake up after these dreams feeling really worn out and uneasy."
