"My teeth were all loose and aching, wiggling in my gums with every breath. Somehow I was on a rollercoaster, rattling along the track, and the pain got so bad that I started pulling them out, one by one, and tucking them into my pocket for safekeeping. When the ride finally ended, I found my family and begged them for help. My mom was furious. "Stop pulling your teeth out," she yelled. "Just leave them alone!" But I had already pulled all of my bottom teeth on the left side. "Everything feels so much better once they're gone," I told her. She wouldn't listen, so I wandered off to look for help from random neighbors, my pocket heavy with teeth, going from door to door. Then I woke up. I ran my tongue over my teeth, still half-expecting gaps, and found them all in place. I felt baffled and a little queasy, with the strange image of the rollercoaster and the pocketful of teeth still bouncing around in my head."
