"started with just one fly, buzzing around my head while I was trying to do something, some task I can't remember now, maybe folding laundry, and it was just annoying at first, normal annoying, swatting at it not really trying. but then there were more, not a gradual more, like a jump cut kind of more, suddenly the room had a dozen of them and I don't remember the in between part where that happened.
I was getting so irritated, like disproportionately irritated, swinging at them with something, a towel maybe, and missing every single time, and that missing kept building this frustration in my chest that felt way bigger than the situation should've caused. kept thinking "just leave, just go away" over and over like that would do anything. one landed on my arm and I smacked it so hard it actually hurt my own skin, and it still didn't die, just flew off like nothing.
the room I was in kept not quite being my room, walls the right color but the window in the wrong place, and the flies were coming from somewhere, a corner maybe, but every time I turned to look at the source it wasn't there anymore, moved to a different corner. I remember yelling at one point, actually yelling, not even words really, just noise, which isn't like me at all.
tried closing a door to trap them in one room and somehow they were already on both sides of it when I turned around, more of them now, landing on things, on a plate of food that was suddenly on a table that wasn't there before. that image sticks with me the most honestly, the food part, more than the flies themselves.
never resolved, never got rid of them, dream just sort of gave up on the scene and I was somewhere else, quieter, but I could still hear that buzzing sound faintly, following along underneath whatever came next, until I woke up still feeling annoyed for no reason I could immediately place."
Core Theme
"This dream reflects feeling overwhelmed by a swarm of small irritations that suddenly multiply beyond your control. The disproportionate anger and inability to eliminate the flies suggest that current life stressors are accumulating faster than you can process them. The unfinished buzzing at the end indicates unresolved emotional tension that may still be affecting your waking mood."

Notice where small irritations in waking life are piling up before they become a swarm. Instead of forcing a solution through sheer effort, pause and identify the true source of your anger. Address one stressor at a time and allow yourself to set boundaries that actually protect your peace.
