The stranger Who felt Like home

"I was at a house party I don't think I had ever been to before, but I knew the kitchen. Someone was playing music too loud, and I was standing near the snacks pretending I knew what to do with my hands. A person walked past me carrying two cups. He gave me one without saying anything, then kept standing there like we had already been talking. I remember laughing because the drink was just water. We ended up on the porch, even though it was raining. The rain stopped around us somehow, and I remember thinking that was impossible but not caring. He told me something about his childhood, and I felt like I had heard it before. Then we were slow dancing in the living room. I don't dance, but my feet seemed to know what to do. I kept looking at his face, trying to remember it, but every time I blinked it changed slightly. I woke up still hearing the song, and for a second I reached across the bed like he was there."
